Cool, calm and gorgeous

My friend Lisa Gorski called me in early 2009 – she has just purchased a beautiful grey TB mare by Darn that Alarm and her 2008 colt by Spanish Alarm and asked, if I would be interested in the colt. Lisa knows about my love of TBs and that I was looking for a top quality colt to bring along. My good friend Katie Roth and I had planned to compete in Florida and took a side trip to Lisa’s farm to check out this youngster.

I have to say, it was not love at first sight – to be honest, my dream had always been to own the fire breathing ‘black stallion ‘.

Instead, I fell hard for this easy going, long legged seal bay colt with a neck which starts in the middle of his back, a walk that over tracks by 1.5 feet, a wonderful loose trot and a ground covering canter.

JoJo travelled by himself in a 2 horse bumper trailer from Ocala to our farm in SC – quietly walked of and straight into my heart.

Nobody knows what the future will bring – one thing’s for sure – this one is a keeper .
