The Rescues

Dobee A Valentine – born 1986, Bailey is a 16.1 hands, beautiful light colored double registered Palomino Quarterhorse gelding – he was bred by my friend Bo Cromer of Palm City, FL – his sire Dobee Dividend was one of my first horses and he was the reason why I absolutely adore Quarterhorses.
Bailey and I did everything, from showing in Western classes, to over fences, to FEI dressage. I owned him for 12 years and then decided, that in order to buy fancier horses, I had to sell him – what a stupid idea !
To make a long sad story short, Bailey and his new owner did not get along, my friend Phaedra Spradlin stepped up (as she has time and time and time again), bought Bailey back and gave him a permanent home at Dreamtime Farm in Kentucky.
When I visited her in April 09 to pick up my first 2 homebreds, she mentioned that Bailey was getting older and the harsh Kentucky winters are too hard on him. So, just like human senior, Bailey went South for the Winter and is now the head of my herd of rescues.

Ryta – born in 1994 (?), Ryta Lu is a bright chestnut 15.3 hands Polo mare – smart, kind, beautiful and 90 % blind – she is by far the best mover amongst my broodmares, but because she has no papers and is blind, I have decided against breeding her. She will remain a part of our rescue herd and live out her life in peace.
Chancer-Prancer – born in 1996 (?) – this little ball of energy ( all 10 hands of him) joined us in 2008 to become Foxcry Nicodemus’ playmate. They got along famously, but Nick left to begin his career as a breeding stallion and Chance was left without a job. In came ……
Miss Maus (aka Miss Honey Bunny) – born in 2004, this 8 hands buckskin mare is an extremely beautiful, fancy mover and very, very shy – there is something truly adorable about her, so she joined the Rescue herd, along with our latest addition………………
Miss Blondie – born in 2005………..a dark blonde Palomino, about 7 hands (in other words, my greyhounds are taller then she is) – she is just too entertaining for words – racing around at Mach 2, she steals hearts wherever she goes. She would make a fun pony for somebody, but because of a past history of neglect, I decided to keep her here ………………….but that’s it – the inn is full !!!
